Fire Guts Newly Opened Furniture Shop Near Vaniyambadi in Tirupattur
Newly opened furniture shop near Vaniyambadi gutted in early morning fire; firefighters prevent major spread.

Tirupattur district witnessed a major fire accident on Sunday when a newly opened furniture shop and godown at Pudur village, near Vaniyambadi town, was gutted in the early hours of the day.

According to police, the incident occurred around 6 a.m. when the shop owner, K. Sampath, arrived at the outlet for his routine morning check. He noticed thick smoke billowing from the building. Along with employees and local residents, he attempted to contain the fire, but the blaze quickly spread across the 2,200 sq. ft. premises.

Two employees who were present inside managed to escape without injuries.

On receiving an alert, a 10-member fire service team from Vaniyambadi and Ambur rushed to the spot. Firefighters battled the flames and brought the situation under control, preventing further spread to nearby areas.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, and authorities are investigating the incident.

The incident has left the business community in shock as the shop, which had only recently begun operations, was completely destroyed.
