Vijay Fan Electrocuted While Hoisting TVK Flag in Virudhunagar

A 19-year-old fan of actor-turned-politician Vijay tragically died of electrocution in Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar district on Wednesday while attempting to hoist a Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) flag.

The victim, identified as Kaleeshwaran from Vanniyampatti, was a BA Visual Communication student. According to police, the incident took place outside the residence of a local man, Muthukumar, where Kaleeshwaran was preparing for a TVK public meeting scheduled to be held in Madurai on Thursday.

Authorities confirmed that the young supporter came into contact with a live wire while hoisting the party flag, leading to his death on the spot. A case has been registered, and police have begun an investigation into the incident.

The tragic event has cast a shadow over the preparations for Vijay’s political meeting, raising concerns over safety measures during party activities.
