SpaceX Starship Launch Delayed by Cloudy Weather in Texas
SpaceX has postponed the 10th launch of its Starship rocket due to cloudy weather conditions in Texas on Monday, August 25, 2025. The company now aims to attempt the launch on Tuesday, August 26, at 7:30 p.m. EST (2130 GMT).
The delay marks a minor setback in SpaceX’s ongoing efforts to overcome development challenges and achieve key milestones critical to the reusable Mars rocket system. The Starship system, consisting of a 71-meter Super Heavy booster and a 52-meter Starship upper stage, is now the tallest rocket SpaceX has built—surpassing the height of New York’s Statue of Liberty.
Despite the weather-related postponement, the spacecraft remained positioned on the launch mount at SpaceX’s Starbase facility, prepared for liftoff. The mission represents a crucial step in refining Starship’s design for future interplanetary travel and reusable rocket technology.
SpaceX continues to push the boundaries of commercial spaceflight with each Starship test, seeking to make fully reusable rockets a reality for missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
