NIA Raids Nine Sites in Tamil Nadu Over 2019 PMK Leader Murder
NIA raids nine locations in Tamil Nadu in 2019 PMK functionary Ramalingam murder case; one person arrested for aiding absconding accused.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted raids at nine locations across Tamil Nadu in connection with the 2019 murder of PMK functionary Ramalingam.

According to officials, searches were carried out in Dindigul, Tenkasi, and Kodaikanal. One of the key locations included the residence of Sheik Abdullah, an office-bearer of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI).

During the operation, the NIA arrested Imthathullah for allegedly harbouring absconding proclaimed offenders linked to the case. Investigators seized several documents and digital devices believed to contain evidence related to the conspiracy.

The 2019 Ramalingam murder case has been under investigation for suspected involvement of radical elements, and the latest raids are part of efforts to trace absconding accused and strengthen the prosecution.
