Trump Announces Major Role for Musk in 2024 Plans
Donald Trump announces Elon Musk's major role in his 2024 plans.

In a recent announcement, Donald Trump outlined his plans for a potential second term, revealing that he would establish a new task force focused on auditing and reforming the federal government. The former president stated that this task force would undertake a comprehensive financial and performance audit of the entire federal government.

Trump detailed that Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, would head this task force. Musk has reportedly agreed to take on this responsibility. Trump’s announcement was shared on social media by CSpan News Network, showcasing his ambitious plans if he returns to office.

Trump emphasized the need for drastic reforms, stating that the audit would lead to significant changes. He highlighted that such measures are crucial and welcomed Musk’s involvement in spearheading this initiative.

In his broader vision for the United States, Trump expressed his goal to transform the country into a global hub for cryptocurrency and bitcoin. He also proposed eliminating at least ten outdated regulations and replacing them with new ones.

Speaking at the Economic Club of New York on September 5, Trump pledged to cut old regulations and foster future industries. He aimed to make the U.S. a leading center for crypto and bitcoin, reflecting his focus on economic innovation.

Trump praised Musk’s endorsement and expressed his confidence in Musk’s abilities. He described Musk as a smart individual who is well-suited for the task force, which will tackle government inefficiencies and recommend necessary reforms.

The former president also highlighted issues with fraud and improper payments, estimating that these problems cost taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars in 2022. The new commission, according to Trump, will develop a plan to eliminate such fraud and save trillions of dollars.

In addition, Trump proposed making the ‘Trump tax cuts’ permanent and announced there would be no tax on tips. He criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for copying his plan and alleged that she would not follow through with her own version.

Trump assured that there would be no tax on Social Security benefits, emphasizing the need to protect these benefits from inflation. He criticized the current administration’s handling of Social Security and vowed to safeguard it.

He argued that previous targeted tax cuts did not increase the deficit but rather helped grow the economy and raise revenue. Trump pointed to increased tax revenues following his tax cuts as evidence of their effectiveness.

Trump also proposed reducing the corporate tax rate from 21% to 15% for companies manufacturing products in the U.S. He emphasized the importance of supporting American manufacturing through expanded R&D tax credits and other incentives.

Responding to Trump’s announcement, Elon Musk took to social media to express his support, stating that the proposed reforms are “badly needed” and underscoring his enthusiasm for the role.
